Both Republicans and Democrats will go to the polls to cast their picks for several candidates in state and federal elections to represent their respective parties in the upcoming General Election in November.

Republican Races

Republicans will go to the polls for several races, including: Governor: Rick Jackson vs. Burt Jones Lieutenant Governor: Greg Dolezal vs. John F. Kennedy Secretary of State: Tim Fleming vs. Vernon Jones State School Superintendent: Fred “Bubba” Longgrear vs. Richard Woods (incumbent) Public Service Commission District 5: Bobby Mehan vs. Josh Tolbert U.S. Senate: Mike Collins vs. Derek Dooley Democrat Races

Democrats will cast their ballots for their choice of candidates in the following races: Lieutenant Governor: Josh McLaurin vs. Nabilah Parkes Secretary of State: Dana Barrett vs. Penny Brown Reynolds Commissioner of Insurance: DeAndre Mathis vs. Keisha Sean Waites Commissioner of Labor: Nikki Porcher vs. Michelle Michi Sanchez U.S. House of Representatives District 12: Traci “Acree” George vs. Ceretta Smith Voting Information

Any registered voter may vote in the run-off election. If a voter has previously voted in the General Primary Election last month, they must vote the political party’s ballot which they previously voted; if the voter did not cast a ballot in the primary election or voted a nonpartisan ballot, they may choose to vote for whichever party’s ballot they desire.

Voters can go to their assigned polling locations from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, to cast their ballots. For information on Election Day polling locations, call your local Board of Elections, or visit mvp.sos.ga.gov.
