Friends of Library Dedicates Book in Longtime Librarian’s Honor

The Friends of the Vidalia- Toombs County Library recently honored the memory of a longtime library employee by dedicating a book to the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library in her honor.
The late Sally Thompson spent 48 years working honor her memory, as they dedicated a cookbook written by Chef Paula Dean to the library in Thompson’s honor.
Thompson’s daughter April Thompson Clark, son-in-law Keith Clark, son David Thompson, and daughter-in-law Sarah Thompson all attended the ceremony to honor her memory.
to make sure Vidalia’s library was serving the community to the best of its ability, as she spent many days working in the facility and chatting with patrons. When she was not at the library, Thompson enjoyed cooking for family members on the weekend. Thus, the Friends of the Vidalia-Toombs County Library combined two of Thompson’s passions to
