MHMH Welcomes New General Surgeon

Memorial Health Meadows Hospital (MHMH) is continuing to add to its staff to best serve the area, as the Hospital has announced that Dena Ferguson, M.D., is joining the Hospital as a general surgeon.

Ferguson previously earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed her general surgery residency in Ohio in June 2021. She is board certified in general surgery, and has even advanced her knowledge with additional training in advanced surgical techniques and patient care.

After completing her residency, Ferguson used her surgical knowledge to complete a fellowship in Global Surgery based out of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, as she traveled to several countries in Africa to serve patients.

Ferguson has a passion for serving individuals in rural, underserved areas and understands the importance of treating each patient uniquely, as she has been immersed in diverse cultures, making her aware that different cultures and environments require different treatments.

She cherishes the opportunity to treat each patient to the best of her ability and has a reputation for being a knowledgeable and compassion physician, as she is known for taking time to understand each patient’s unique needs to help guide them through their treatment with clarity and kindness.
