The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Thursday night, April 16, 2026, at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons. With President Joel Keener presiding, they had 20 in attendance.

East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith introduced Compatriot Steve Burke of the Wiregrass Chapter in Swainsboro, who presented his program on 'Colonial Survival.'

Burke and his wife Renee live in Garfield. He is retired from Planters Electric Membership Corporation.

President Joel presented Sgt.-at-Arms Dan Brown with the Ned Shuman Chapter Distinguished Service Medal as the Four Rivers Patriots Chapter Compatriot of the year for 2025. President Joel then asked Vidalia Mayor Doug Roper to come forward and receive the Four Rivers Patriots Bronze Good Citizenship Medal for his outstanding service to the City of Vidalia during Hurricane Helena.

The next meeting will be Thursday night, May 21, 2026, at Chatters Restaurant at 6:00 to eat.
