East Georgia To Unveil New Mascot

Georgia Southern University East Georgia Campus will officially unveil its new Golden Eagles athletics brand during a special launch event on Monday, April 27, at 4:00 p.m. in the Luck F. Gambrell Center Auditorium on the Swainsboro Campus.

The event is open to the public and will celebrate a new era for East Georgia athletics, bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the inspiration and process behind selecting the Golden Eagles identity, as well as hear updates on the campus’s transition to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The program will include remarks from campus leadership, a look at the Golden Eagles brand development, and recognition of student-athletes who will represent the new identity in competition.

The Golden Eagles brand symbolizes excellence, determination and a bold vision for the future of athletics on the East Georgia Campus.
