BURN BAN

The City of Vidalia has issued an official burn ban, barring citizens and businesses from burning yard waste, land clearing debris, and other openburning materials until further notice. Burning in outdoor grills, burn barrels, and small backyard fire pits are permitted. Only natural falling debris should be burned in barrels and pits. Any illegal burning may be subject to fines and citations, as the city works together to prevent uncontrolled fires and ensure public safety. For further information, or to report illegal burning, call Fire Chief Brian Sikes at (912) 537-4141.
