It’s the busiest week of the year in the Sweet Onion City, as people from around the nation travel to Vidalia to celebrate the harvest of the famous Vidalia Onion. As the 49th Annual Vidalia Onion Festival kicks off this week, the town will be bustling on both land and air with the carnival, street dance, concert, arts and crafts festival, cook-off, and of course, the Vidalia Onion Festival Air Show.

Festivities will be stretched throughout the area, as patrons can enjoy vendors, food, shopping, live music, and even the famous Onion Run in the downtown area at the beginning of the festival, and thrilling rides and aviation action, artisan crafts, local chef’s finest wares, and more in the Vidalia Regional Airport area later in the weekend.
