Senior Citizen Center Hosts Breakfast and a Movie

The Toombs County Senior Center, located at 107 Old Airport Road in Vidalia, has been bustling with activities, and recently treated seniors to a special breakfast and movie on Monday morning, April 6.

Thanks to the public’s donations, the senior citizens were able to enjoy a full breakfast spread from Shoney’s, including grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, fruit, coffee, juice, and more. In addition to the hearty feast, the seniors watched a movie as they fellowshipped with one another.

This event is just one of many events that Toombs County Senior Center Director Kimberly Phillips has planned throughout the month of April. Other events include: • Daily devotionals each morning • A trip to Dairy Queen on Wednesday, April 15 • Fun and Games at Partin Park at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16; seniors should bring $5 for lunch • Bingo at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, April 17 • Exercise with Terry at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 on Monday, April 20 • Community Care Bingo at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 • Cra:s with Mary at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 • Chair Zumba with Jordan at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:45 am. on Thursday, April 23 • Bingo at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, April 24 • Georgia State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIPS) overview at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 27 • Georgia Legal con sultation and overview at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28 • Oxley Park Bingo at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29 • PruiG Health Bingo at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 30.
