RECOVERY BUS STOPS IN LYONS – The Georgia Recovers Bus Tour stopped in Lyons on September 23, as sixty-six members of the community gathered to support those in long-term recovery and discuss the addiction epidemic in rural Georgia. The event featured the opportunity for attendees to sign the bus, and to hear from a panel of experts and leaders on the issues and potential solutions to the addiction issue within the area. The panel included State Representative Leesa Hagan, Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight, Lyons Mayor Willis NeSmith Jr., Gardens of Hope Recovery Community Organization Director Jimbo Partin, Lyons Community Development Director Jessica Barfield, and Lyons City Manager Jason Hall.
