Registration Open for This Girl Can! Summer Camp

Registration is open for the annual This Girl Can! Summer Camp, which will be held on June 6-8 at Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia.

This is the fourth year that Vidalia native Susanna Hayes has returned to invest in young girls through a camp which focuses on helping girls build their confidence, courage, and character. The event features several engaging activities and sessions based on Bible-based, Christcentered messages to inspire and educate attendees. Topics covered will include “Soaring in Education,” “Soaring in Finances,” and “Soaring in Mental Health.” The camp will also feature several special guests, including Pastor Cora Jakes, who will provide the opening prayer virtually; Vidalia Mayor Doug Roper, who will serve as a speaker at the camp; and a special presentation by Georgia Southern University featuring their Bald Eagle. The annual summer barbecue will also return to close out the event, as families are able to gather and see what all the campers have learned.

The day camp is free and open to all females ages 10-21, as several local businesses — Ameris Bank, Chick-Fil-A, Coca Cola, Dot Foods, Dunkin’ Donuts, Georgia Pine Straw, Handy Andy, Lowe’s, Meadows Regional, Plant Hatch, Sam’s Club, Southern Company, Trane, and others — have partnered to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to attend. Registration will end on Friday, May 17.
