On Friday, April 5, Brewton-Parker College (BPC) hosted its 7th Annual Southern Classic Golf Tournament presented by Metter Ford at the Willow Lake Golf Club in Metter, Georgia. Through the generous support of business sponsors and local teams, the event had 84 players and raised over $30,000. These funds will be used to transform the lives of our students on both an academic and spiritual level.

The Southern Classic serves as a fundraiser for the college. Over twenty community businesses supported BPC through various sponsorship levels. The tournament ended with Monroe Goss’s team placing first, followed by Handy Andy’s team in second, and Tyler Harris’ team in third.

BPC would like to thank all of the Southern Classic sponsors: Presenting Sponsor – Metter Ford; Champion Sponsor – Pineland TelCo and Responsive Technology Partners; Advocate Sponsor DOT Foods; Partner Sponsors – Altamaha Bank and Trust, Chick-fil-A of Vidalia, Turnipseed Engineers, and Handy Andy Home Warehouse, and all the individual Hole Sponsors.

BPC’s Vice President of Advancement, Chad Ritchie, commented, “Wonderful weather and fellowship made this year’s Southern Classic a great success. It’s encouraging to see the support of our local businesses and individuals. We appreciate the generosity and partnership that has been extended toward the college. BPC looks forward to continuing to grow the tournament next year. Thank you to the sponsors and players who made the 2024 BPC Southern Classic possible.”
