The Wheeler County Chamber of Commerce will hold its 28th annual banquet on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at the James Stapleton Auditorium on the campus of Wheeler County School in Alamo.

Keynote speaker will be Sabrina Graham, an attorney who grew up in Alamo and has spent the last 21 years working in the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.

A 1993 graduate of Wheeler County High School, Graham earned a degree in political science from the University of Georgia in 1997, and a law degree from Mercer School of Law in 2000. After clerking in West Georgia and working in general practice in Vidalia, she went to work for the state Attorney General’s Office in 2003. During her tenure with the Attorney General’s Office in the Capital Litigation Section, she has litigated numerous cases in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Additionally, Graham served in the United States Army Reserve in the JAG Corps, retiring after over 20 years of service. Recently, she published a book, Have Power, Must Travel, about a female paladin forced to travel the world to help others in sticky situations. Graham lives in Smyrna with her husband Gabriel, son Dean, their two dogs Stella and Freya, and their two cats Penny and Zizzle.

During the banquet, the Chamber will honor Citizens of Distinction and Businesses of the Year. Tickets for the banquet, which includes a catered meal and door prizes, are $20 and are available by calling or visiting the chamber at 912-568-7808, 6 Railroad Avenue, Alamo.
