Vidalia to Hold Community Clean-Up Day on April 13

mrandolphadvance@gmail.com

The City of Vidalia will unite with citizens to clean up the City in preparation for the upcoming Vidalia Onion Festival as the annual Community Clean-Up Day is held on Saturday, April 13.

Every year, the City welcomes citizens, service groups, elected officials, and others to take part in making sure that the area is in pristine condition when visitors arrive for the Festival. The City will provide each participant with a bucket of supplies, and groups will spread out to pick up trash and debris. All participants will be able to keep their bucket as a “thank you” for helping with the cause, and will be served lunch by Chick-Fil-A of Vidalia at the Vidalia Community Center.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Vidalia Community Center. To ensure that there are enough supplies, those willing to volunteer are asked to register with the City by contacting Kellie Murray at (912) 537-8718.
