RTCA Baseball Splits Games

The Crusader baseball team of Robert Toombs Christian Academy got two games in last week as they picked up a win over Edmund Burke on Wednesday, but fell to Trinity Christian on Thursday. vs. EBA

EBA took the early lead with a run in the top of the first inning, but RTCA got to work in the bottom half of the frame. RTCA scored seven runs on four hits, including a 2 RBI single by Gage Brantley. That put the Crusaders on top 7-1.

In the second inning RTCA got a solo home run from Brittan Tabor to make the score 8-1. Neither team scored again until the sixth inning. EBA plated a run in the top of the frame, but RTCA answered in the bottom as they went on to win the game 9-2.

Tabor also got the win on the mound as he allowed just four hits while striking out 11 batters. vs. Trinity On Thursday RTCA hosted Trinity and things did not go their way. Trinity jumped out with six runs in the top of the third inning and they never looked back. They added two in the fourth inning and two more in the top of the sixth on the way to a 10-0 win over RTCA.

RTCA had just one hit in the game and that came from Tripp Durden.

This week RTCA was at EBA on Tuesday after prestime. They will have the rest of this week and next week off for Spring Break. They will play next on April 8 as they start a three-game Region series against First Presbyterian.
