Vidalia Indians Boys’ Tennis Moves To 9-0

The Vidalia High School boys tennis team kept their record perfect Tuesday night of last week, (9-0), defeating Tattnall County 3-2 in a Region match.

Boys

At 1st singles, Caleb Beck won 6-1, 6-4, then Danny Richardson followed up with a win at 3rd singles (6-4, 6-4). Vidalia’s 3rd win of the night came from the 1st doubles team of Jameson Rolen and Sukumar Paidi, who won 6-1, 6-2.

Girls

Again, the Girls’ Team had many close games, but ended up losing 2-3. Their victories came from the 1st and 2nd doubles teams. At 1st Doubles, Emma Beck and Cate Wilcox won in a come-frombehind fashion. They lost the first set 4-6, but did not panic and took the 2nd set in a tiebreaker 7-5. They completely dominated the 3rd set winning 6-0. The girls’ last win of the night came at the 2nd doubles position held by Deidra Boston and Emma Vinson who won 6-1, 6-3.
