The Toombs County Development Authority and Greater Vidalia Chamber are working with local companies, economic development officials, and Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) to evaluate natural gas infrastructure needs throughout the region.

If your company uses natural gas in daily operations, please complete the Universal Service Fund Survey, which is open until June 30. Responses to the survey will be used to assist the community in preparing for future growth and development Georgia’s Universal Service Fund (USF) is used for a number of purposes including expanding facilities into parts of the state that are underserved by natural gas. An annual planning process allows Atlanta Gas Light to file a single annual plan with the Georgia Public Service Commission that defines where it proposes using USF funds to extend its facilities. In order to create a comprehensive plan, Atlanta Gas Light is asking for your help.

The survey is available online and can be found through a link on the Toombs County Development Authority’s website. When completing the survey, provide information about projects you plan to begin between 2021 and 2023. Please remember to provide as much information as possible for each of your projects. If you have more than five projects planned that you’d like to share, please complete a second survey.

Information you provide will be used as part of a filing with the Georgia Public Service Commission and will become part of the public record. However, Atlanta Gas Light will not apply for USF funding for all projects submitted through this survey. We will contact you if we apply for funding in support of a corridor that includes your specific project. Please also note that this survey is not an application for natural gas service. A separate application for service can be found at atlantagaslight. com.

The deadline to complete the survey is June 30.
