Bulldogs Defeat Jeff Davis

On Tuesday night, the Toombs County Bulldog Soccer teams squared up against Jeff Davis. Toombs won both games over the Yellow Jackets.

In the girls match, Toombs County grabbed a 2-0 lead, on goals by Maritza Zamorano and Anyadi Colmenares, before conceding 2 goals to the Yellow Jackets. Regulation would end 2-2, and the matched headed to overtime. In the 2nd half of overtime, Maritza Zamorano scored her 2nd goal of the night and gave the bulldogs the 3-2 win, moving the girls record to 1-1-1 on the season.

In the boys match, Gustavo Delgado scored 2 times, while Yovanny Zamorano, Braylen Dietrich, and Kenneth Perez each scored 1. That gave the Bulldogs a 5-1 win, and moved them to 3-0 overall on the season.

This week TCHS hosted Tattnall County on Tuesday night after presstime. They will be back on the pitch on Friday when the Knights of Windsor Forest come to town with games starting at 5:00 p.m.
