On Wednesday of last week, Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Jashaun Powell signed his letter of intent to play football for Georgia Military College in Milledgeville. Powell has been a standout athlete for the Crusaders across several sports. Powell stated, “I chose GMC because they believe in me, and they said they wanted to give me a shot and are working with me through everything I want to do for my future. I am going to use this as a guideline for the rest of my career. I want to thank God, my family, teammates, and coaches for being behind me. I have come a long way and I want to go further.”

RTCA Head Football Coach Jacob Lord added, “The coaches really sold him on the ability to prepare him for Division One play, and that is hopefully what we are going to see in the future. GMC is one of the best Junior Colleges in the country and the perfect fit for him and his future.”
