The Crusader basketball teams of Robert Toombs Christian Academy took on Citizens Christian and Twiggs last week, with the boys also playing against First Preparatory Christian Academy. The Lady Crusaders split their games while the boys won 2 of 3.

Girls vs. CCA

RTCA hosted CCA on Monday of last week, and the Lady Crusaders struggled to get things going against the Lady Patriots. CCA pulled away to win the game 52-25.

Boys vs. CCA

The RTCA boys jumped out to a 14-8 lead in the first quarter of the game and pushed that lead to 30-16 by the end of the first half.

In the second half RTCA was able to bring in several players off the bench. CCA did make up a little ground in the second half but RTCA was leading 45-34 at the end of the third, and the Crusaders took the win 66-57.

Boys vs. FPCA

The Highlanders picked up the win over RTCA on Tuesday in Hinesville. FPCA was up 16-7 at the end of the first quarter and pushed that lead to 38-24 by halftime.

In the third quarter RTCA was outscored 21-8 to give FPCA a 59-32 lead. FPCA took the win 77-46 over RTCA.

Girls vs. Twiggs

RTCA was at Twiggs on Friday night, and the Lady Crusaders picked up their seventh win of the season to improve to 7-14. RTCA won the game over Twiggs by the score of 4932.

Boys vs. Twiggs The RTCA boys rolled to an easy win over the Trojans. RTCA put 93 points on the board, on the way to a 93-33 victory.

That improved the boys record to 11-9 on the season.

This week RTCA played Windsor Academy on Monday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at home against Memorial Day at 6:00 p.m.
