Indians Sweep Pirates

The Indians basketball teams of Vidalia High School just got in one pair of games last week as they faced off with the Pirates of Appling County on the road on Tuesday. They were supposed to play Toombs at home on Friday, but the game was moved to February 4.

Girls vs. Appling

Vidlaia got a big game from Kaliya Walker with 23 points to help lead the Indians to a win. VHS improved to 5-1 with the 53-41 win. Hannah Nichols was also in double figures with 11 points.

Boys vs. Appling

The Indians traveled to Baxley for a 3AA Region contest and handed the Pirates an 83-37 loss. The Indians had four score in double figures including Jayon Coleman, Cori Mincey, Jacaree Washington, and Rashad Brown.

This week VHS hosted Pierce County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Brantley County at 6:00 p.m.
