Luna Wraps Up With 2nd Title

Juan Luna just finished an unforgettable middle school cross country career at Toombs County Middle School. Luna went undefeated his entire 7th and 8th grade cross country seasons, winning his last 12 races. He became the back-to-back Division 2 State Champion in 2021 and 2022. Luna also led the boy’s team to a 3rd place finish at the State Championship Meet.

Luna's track coach, Mrs. Katie Goodwin, stated, “He has so much talent, but along with his talent, he has one of the best work ethics. There has never been a day of practice where he did not come prepared to give his best effort, he pushes to the limit every day. He also pushes his teammates to do better, always being a good example with his positive attitude and strong work ethic.

“He has a bright future ahead in high school running, and we cannot wait to see what he accomplishes. There is no doubt he will have a special high school career as well, and he will be one to look out for beginning his freshman year. We are so proud of him! Congratulations Juan for your amazing accomplishments!”
