The Vidalia High School Competition Cheer Team won their second meet of the year, taking the 'Rumble in The Jungle' Saturday in Swainsboro. In winning the event, the Indians earned their highest score of the season. Vidalia has two championships, and three runner- up finishes through five meets this year. 'I am pleased with the team's progress,' said Vidalia Cheer Coach Ann Michele Toole. 'Every week, our goal is to be better than we were at our last competition. We are focusing on the details of our routine this week as we prepare for Region.' Up next for the Indians is the Region Meet this Saturday at Putnam County, which will determine who moves on to the State Meet on November 11 and 12 in Macon.

Toole added, 'We have a tough call this year, competing with the powerhouses Pierce and Appling County, who are both previously 3A schools. '

The Indians take the floor around 10:15 a.m., with the announcement of Teams advancing to State taking place at 6:00 p.m.
