Homecoming At Treutlen

The Treutlen County High School Vikings football team held their Homecoming game last Friday night against the Bobcats of Dooly County. Things did not go well for the Vikings as they dropped the game 56-0. At halftime of the game, Treutlen crowned Kirsten Miller as Homcoming Queen and Cody Phillips as Homecoming King.

Dooly and Treutlen exchanged interceptions on the first two possessions, but when Dooly picked off the Vikings pass, they took it down to the 5-yard line. Just a couple of plays later, they were in the end zone for a touchdown. They added the extra point to lead 7-0.

Later in the first quarter, they added a 27-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0. By the end of the first half of the game, the Bobcats were on top 41-0.

In the second half of the game, there was a running clock. Dooly managed to add two more touchdowns as they went on to win the game 56-0.

Treutlen will have this week off and then will be at Hawkinsville next Friday night to face the Red Devils.
