Downtown Throwdown In Lyons

The Toombs County High School Bulldogs football team will be hosting a Community Tailgate this Friday night to celebrate Senior Night. The event will be in downtown Lyons from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The theme of the event is “Hometown Throwdown.” The football team is asking people to join them and shop and eat at local businesses. Various teams and groups will host 'meet and greets' along with booths for you to visit. The cheerleaders will be getting the crowd ready, and you can even have some time on the mat with the wrestling team. The Redcoat Marching Band will be backing it all up with some tunes.

There will be face painting, cotton candy, boiled peanuts and other freebies. Fans will line the Downtown streets at 6:30 p.m. to cheer on the Bulldogs as they do their 'Dog Walk,' and then everyone will head to The Pit to cheer on the team as they take on Wheeler County.
