WCSO Seeks Leads in Straw Theft
The Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of several bales of pine straw from a site off of Georgia Highway 19, South, in the early morning hours of August 1.
A trail camera at the site captured grainy images of two suspects driving a white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a trailer attached. Chief Deputy Richie C. Floyd reported that the suspects left with 300 rolls of pine straw valued at $9 each, as well as an undetermined number of square bales of straw.
