Heritage Track At State

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles track and field team traveled to Barnesville last week to Lamar County High School to compete in the GAPPS State Track Meet. The Eagles had a good meet, with Lauren Cook coming home with four State Championships and setting a new State record.

Cook won every event that she entered at the State Meet. She set the new State record in the 100m dash, won the 200m, the 100m hurdles, and won the long jump. She earned the High Point Award for the State Meet.

Ethan Sikes took 2nd place in the 300m hurdles and was 4th in the triple jump. Ayden O’Neal finished 3rd in the shot put and was 5th in discus. Emily Jarriel was 5th in shot put and was 8th in discus. Julia Beacham finished 8th in shot put.
