11 Lady Barons With SSAC Awards

A total of 11 Brewton- Parker College softball student- athletes were listed in the 2022 SSAC Softball Awards released by the conference on Wednesday of last week. The Lady Barons earned a pair of Second-Team All-Conference selections, one All-Freshman Team selection, and eight All-Academic Team honorees in addition to the Champions of Character Team recognition.
Alexis Bradshaw and Abbey Flowers both earned Second-Team All-Conference honors while Flowers was also listed on the All-Freshman Team.
Bradshaw leads BPC with 27 runs scored this season while also recording the team's fourthbest hits with 29. Bradshaw also led the team with 29 stolen bases in all competitions; the fourth-best in the conference.
As for Flowers, she notched a team-high 41 hits and 30 RBIs while producing a .333 batting average during her freshman campaign. Flowers also produced six home runs for the Lady Barons.
Laykin Brown, MacKenzie Tripp, Alexis Williams, Ashley Wilson, Natalie Hardy, Savannah Cook, Alexia Mays, and Leah Henry all earned All-Academic Team honors. Noel Smith earned recognition as the Lady Barons’ representative on the Champions of Character Team.
