New Basketball Coach At MCHS

The Montgomery County High School Eagles boys basketball program will be under the leadership of a new head coach next season. Izell Stephens III will be bringing his enthusiasm, experiences, and expertise as he endeavors to lead the young men both on and off the court. Coach Stephens is coming to MCHS from Jeff Davis County and has also spent time in Treutlen County as a coach. Stephens is a 2007 graduate of Dublin High School and was on both the football and basketball State Championship teams in 2006 while a student-athlete in Dublin.

During his introduction to his future Eagle team, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing educational goals and balancing scholastic achievement with athletic excellence. He stated that he is passionate about the athlete, the student, and the person and he desires to use his influence to develop men of character.
