VHS Soccer Gets 1 Win

The Vidalia High School soccer teams took on Toombs County and Jeff Davis last week. The Lady Indians lost both of their games while the boys picked up a win over Jeff Davis.

Vs. Toombs

It was a tough game for the Lady Indians as they lost to rival Toombs County in The Pit on Tuesday. Toombs picked up one goal in the first half of the game, and then the Bulldogs added one more in the second half as they took the win, 2-0, over the Lady Indians.

In the boys game, Vidalia got a first half goal from Konner Owens. That made the score 1-1 at halftime. In the second half, Toombs scored one more goal as they took the win 2-1.

Vs. JD

The Lady Indians struggled against Jeff Davis. The Lady Yellow Jackets scored six goals in the first half of the game and added four more in the second half as they blanked VHS, 10-0. The boys fared better against the Jackets. The Indians took the Region win, 3-1, with all three goals being scored in the first half for VHS. They allowed one goal in the second half to secure the win. Owens picked up a goal for VHS, as did Tim Corbin, and Dhruvil Patel.

This week VHS was at Bacon County on Tuesday after presstime and will be back in action on Wednesday at home against East Laurens with the first game starting at 5:00 p.m.
