RTCA MS Takes On EBA

The Robert Toombs Middle School Crusaders baseball team fell to Edmund Burke Academy 2-1 on Tuesday on the final play of the game.

The game was tied at one with Edmund Burke batting in the bottom of the fifth when EBA picked up a double on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. The pitching was strong on both sides. Edmund Burke pitchers struck out seven, while RTCA pitchers sat down nine.

The Edmund Burke pitcher allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Cayden Nance was on the hill for RTCA Middle School Crusaders. The righty lasted four and a third innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out nine.

The Crusaders tallied one home run on the day. Blake Durden put one out in the fifth inning.

Nance, Clayton Williams, and Durden each managed one hit to lead RTCA Middle School Crusaders.
