MCHS Falls To Telfair
The Eagles baseball team of Montgomery County High School played a Region series against the Trojans of Telfair County last week. MCHS dropped all three games to Telfair. The first game of the week was on Tuesday in McRae. It was the closest game of the week as they Eagles kept it to four runs. Telfair took the win over MCHS 10– 6. They next met in Mt. Vernon for a double header on Friday. In the first game of the day the Trojans had the bats going as they plated 25 runs on the way to a 25-11 win over MCHS.
In the second game of the double header Telfair kept up the pace as they scored 18 runs. MCHS managed to get eight runs across the plate, but fell to the Trojans, 18- 8.
The Eagles are now 2-9 on the year and are 0-9 in Region play. This week they will have a Region series against Johnson County. The first game was on Tuesday in Mt. Vernon after presstime. They will play a double header in Wrightsville on Friday with the first game starting at 4:00 p.m.
