VHS Splits With East Laurens

The Indians soccer teams of Vidalia High School took on East Laurens last week on the road in East Dublin on Tuesday. The girls fell to the Lady Falcons while the boys picked up the win.


In the girls contest it was tough going for the Lady Indians as they have several of their top scorers out with injury. They were not able to put a goal on the board as they fell to East Laurens 3-0.


The boys rolled over the Falcons as they took a 5-1 win. Konner Owens led the Indians with two goals and an assist. Gauge Martin, Daniel Hodges, and Bryan Agustin each scored a goal in the contest. Tucker Roberts, Clayton Cox, and Zach Moye all had assists. The Lady Indians are now 5-6 on the year and are 3-3 in Region play. The boys are 5-7 on the year and are also 3-3 in the Region. This week VHS was at Swainsboro on Tuesday after presstime and will host Woodville- Tompkins on Friday with the first game at 5:00 p.m.
