Wheeler Battles Treutlen

The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs and Treutlen County High School Vikings baseball teams met last week for a three-game Region series. Treutlen got the win in the first two games, but Wheeler bounced back with a win in the third. On Tuesday in Soperton it was a close game between the Bulldogs and the Vikings. The Vikings picked up a win in the first game of the week, taking the win 14– 11. They played a double header in Alamo on Friday night. Treutlen picked up a win in the first game of the day 8-4. In the second game of the day the Bulldogs bounced back as they won over Treutlen 16-6.

Wheeler is now 1-6 on the year while the Vikings are 5-4 on the year and are 3-3 in the Region. The Vikings play Dublin this week in a three-game series. They will be in Dublin on Tuesday after presstime, and then will be in Soperton on Friday with the first game at 4:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs will play Dooly County this week. They played on Tuesday after presstime and will play a double header on Friday in Alamo with the first game at 4:00 p.m. Wheeler will also play on Wednesday against East Laurens at 5:30 p.m. in Dublin.
