RTCA Sweeps Memorial

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders faced off with Memorial Day last week in Savannah and they swept the Matadors. Then on Monday of this week RTCA was at Trinity Christian with the boys getting a win.

Girls vs. Memorial

This was a very one sided game as the Lady Crusaders ran away with the win. RTCA was on top 34-3 at the end of the first half. The score was 53-8 heading to the fourth quarter.

RTCA took the win 61-9 over Memorial. Bree Wimberly led RTCA with 25 points.

Boys vs. Memorial

The boys also had no problems with Memorial. RTCA led 7-2 early in the game and at the end of the first quarter the score was 19-9. By the end of the first half of action, the score was 34-22 with RTCA out in front.

Drew Vaughn and MK McBride added baskets to make it 51-32, and at the end of the third, the score was 56-34.

RTCA went on to win the game 72-47. Vaughn led RTCA with 24 points, McBride and Jashaun Powell each scored 18 points. vs. Trinity

It was a tough game for the Lady Crusaders of RTCA as they lost to Trinity. Trinity took the win, 53-30. In the boys game RTCA pulled away to the win. The score was 79-62.

The Lady Crusaders are 8-11 on the year but are 5-0 in Region play. The boys are 14-1 on the year and are 4-0 in the Region. This week RTCA will be at John Milledge Academy on Friday at 6:00 p.m., and the boys will play one extra game on Tuesday of next week at home against First Presbyterian at 6:00 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
