three-pointer to make it 27-22. Hannah Nichols added a three for the Indians to give VHS a 30-22 lead, and at the end of the third the score was 33-23 with VHS in front.

With four minutes to go in the game the Indians were on top 40-29 after another basket by Johnson. Cristal Franklin added a shot to make it 44-33 with 2:20 to play. VHS went on to win the game 46-36 over the Lady Bulldogs.

Kaliya Walker led VHS with 10 points, Nichols added 9, and Franklin had 8 in the win.

Boys vs. Toombs

In the boys game the Indians jumped out to a 12-4. Toombs hit a three to make it 12-7 and then closed it to 12-9 after a basket underneath. A three-pointer by Jacaree Washington made it 15-9, and then he hit another for an 18-9 lead with just under one minute left in the first quarter. At the end of the first quarter, the Indians were on top 18-11 over the Bulldogs.

In the second quarter, Washington hit a three for VHS to make it 21-11, and then Siricco Jones got a shot in the lane to make it 23-15 with 4:25 left in the first half. Ty Dalley hit a three to make it 26-17, but Toombs went on a run and closed it to 26-22. Dalley hit a long three-pointer just as the half came to an end to put VHS on top 29-22 heading to the locker room. In the third period the Bulldogs came back and closed it to 39-34 with just over a minute to go in the third. It was 4337 after baskets by Jones and Washington, and at the end of the third quarter the Indians were on top 45-37. In the fourth quarter the Bulldogs went on a run to open things up and closed it to 47-44 with Toombs down by just three. Jones hit a shot as did Konner Owens to push the lead back out to 51-46, but another three for Toombs made it 5149 with just four minutes to play. Jones hit a three for the Indians, but it was 5451 with 3:30 on the clock. Bryson Whited got a rebound and put-back, and then hit a floater on a fast break to make it 58-53 with 2:25 left to play. It was 60-55 after a basket by Owens and then Owens added a pair of free throws with just 20 seconds to play to make it 63- 55. The Bulldogs played the #5 ranked Indians as they should in a rivalry game but came up short as VHS took the win 66- 55. Whited led the Indians with 13 points, Washington added 12, Dalley scored 10, and Jones posted 9 in the win.

Girls vs. Bacon

On Friday night the Indians hosted Bacon County. Baskets by Johnson and Corianna Warner put VHS on top 5-0. VHS pushed their lead to 9-2 by the end of the first period.

Franklin made it 113, and Carleigh Wardlaw made it 13-3. Wardlaw got another shot to fall to put VHS up 15-3. VHS was up 28-7 with just over a minute to go. Warner hit another threepointer as VHS pushed their lead to 33-8. In the third period the Indians went ice cold as Bacon made a huge run. Bacon closed the lead to 39-24 with two minutes left in the third quarter. It was 40-31 with just 40 seconds to go in the third, and at the end of the period the score was 40-33 as Bacon outscored VHS 32-7 in the

third quarter. In the fourth quarter the Lady Red Raiders closed the VHS lead to 40-35, and it was 40-37 with just over six minutes to play in the game. The Raiders made it 40-39, but a three from Warner and another basket make it 47-43 with one minute to play. Walker added two late shots as VHS held on to win 51-43. Warner led VHS with 13 points.

Boys vs. Bacon

Bacon got on the board first and led 5-0 early. Baskets from Dalley, Jones, and Whited put VHS on top 9-7. Whited pushed the lead to 16-12 with a three. VHS went on a run and by the end of the first quarter the score was 21- 12 with VHS on top. Early in the second baskets by Dalley, Jones, and Owens put VHS on top 27-12, It was 36-17 with just 1:17 left in the half, and at the buzzer VHS led 38-20. In the third VHS led 42-20 after a basket by Dalley, and Whited hit a three to make it 45-22. VHS pushed that lead to 55-22, and at the end of the third the score was 58- 22. In the fourth VHS was able to get in several subs as they ran away with this game over the Raiders. VHS won the game 73-40 over Bacon.

VHS as led by Whited with 13; Dalley, Jones and Powell all added 10 in the win.

Girls vs. E. Laurens

With 4:22 to go in the first quarter VHS was on top 4-2 after a basket by Johnson. In a low scoring first quarter the score was 8-7 with VHS on top at the buzzer. It was 19-15 with VHS on top after a basket by Tymber Harris with 1:30 left in the first half of the game. VHS was up 23-17 heading to the locker room.

In the third period the Lady Falcons came back and closed it to 3130 heading to the fourth. At the start of the fourth, they tied the game at 3333, but baskets by Harris and Wardlaw made it 3733. It was 39-33 with 3:30 to go and then Franklin and Harris got shots to go to put VHS up 44-33.

The Lady Indians took the win 48-37 over the Falcons. VHS was led by Nichols with 17 and Harris added 11 in the win.

Boys vs. E. Laurens

In the boys game VHS dominated the Falcons. The Indians were on top 14-0 with four minutes to go in the first quarter. By the end of the first the score was 19-9.

Vidalia was on top 29-18, but with 3:45 left in the half the Falcons had closed it to 29-20. Whited got a three to go, and at halftime the Indians were on top 42-29.

By the end of the third period, the score was 61-35 as the Indians went on a run. VHS went on to take the win 83-50.

Dalley led the way with 14 points, Zaqual Stewart added 12, Powell scored 11, Owens put 10 on the board, and Whited and Jones scored 9 each.

That was 18 wins in a row for the boys as they secured the #1 spot in the Region Tournament. The Lady Indians are now 1110 on the year and are 6-3 in the Region, while the boys are 21-1 and are 10-0 in the Region. This week the Indians played Jeff Davis on Tuesday after presstime, and will play Swainsboro on Friday at home with the girls tipping off at 6:00 p.m. The girls will add a game against Jeff Davis on Saturday at home at 5:00 p.m. as the regular season wraps up.
