Treutlen Plays At Portal

The Treutlen County High School Vikings basketball teams traveled to Portal to take on the Panthers last Tuesday and split their games. The girls picked up a win while the boys dropped their game.

Girls

It was a close game, but the Lady Vikings picked up their first win of the season as they defeated the Lady Panthers. Treutlen held on to take the road win, 55-52.

Boys

In the boys game the Panthers jumped out to a 28-13 lead by the end of the first quarter. In the second the Vikings got the offense going and closed in a bit as the score at halftime was 47-33.

In the second half the Vikings kept right with the Panthers, but that slow start in the first cost them the game. The score at the end of the third was 62-48, and Portal took the win, 76-63. This week Treutlen hosted Hawkinsville’s Red Devils on Tuesday after presstime, and they will not be back in action until after Christmas.
