Vikings Split With Wheeler

The Treutlen County High School Vikings basketball teams took on Wheeler County’s Bulldogs last week in Alamo. The girls picked up a win, while the boys fell in a close game.


The Lady Vikings jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the first quarter of the game. They extended that lead to 23-9 at halftime, taking total control of the game.

Treutlen outscored Wheeler 17-3 in the third quarter and went on to get the win 45-18.


The boys game was a close battle with the Vikings falling by just 5 points to the Bulldogs. Wheeler held on for a 6560 win over Treutlen.

This week the Vikings took on the Portal Panthers on the road on Tuesday after presstime. The boys will play on Saturday at the Calhoun County Shootout against Chattahoochee County at 5:30 p.m.
