VHS Volleyball Makes 2nd Round

The Vidalia High School volleyball team had a solid season as they finished the season with a record of 19-11 in the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs. VHS took on Quitman County in the first round and won before falling to Lovett in the second round to end their season. vs. Quitman

VHS hosted the Hornets of Quitman on Wednesday of last week. The first game of the match was a battle but the Indians came out on top. Vidalia won the first set 25-23.

VHS pulled away in the second set as their service game picked up. VHS took the second set 25-7. The third set went the same as the Indians rolled to a 25-8 win to sweep Quitman, 3-0. vs. Lovett

VHS was on the road in Atlanta on Saturday to take on Lovett, who came into the match with a record of 31-8. The Lions outmatched VHS on the day to end the Indians season. Lovett won the first set 25-6, took the second 25-7, and won the third 25-9 to take the match, 3-0. It was a solid first season under Head Coach Brooke Cameron, and the Indians look to continue to improve in the future. They will be losing six seniors off of this year's team: Addy Reid, Kyleigh Johnson, Maggie Herin, Crystal Boyd, Ansleigh Toomer, and Rachel Ellison.
