Jeff Davis Downs Bulldogs

The Toombs County High School Bulldogs football team had the daunting task of taking on the #5 team in the state last Friday night at home in the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets. Jeff Davis built up a big lead in the first quarter of the game as they scored three touchdowns and went ahead 21-0 over Toombs. They scored on a 1-yard run, a 36-yard pass, and another 1-yard run.

In the second quarter the Jackets got a big fumble recovery and return to push the lead to 27-0. Toombs did manage a score in the second quarter of the game, but at halftime it was 34-6 with the Jackets well out in front. Jeff Davis tacked on a field goal in the third quarter of the game on their way to a 37-6 win over Toombs. This week TCHS will host cross county rival Vidalia on Friday night in The Pit with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. TCHS comes into the game with a record of 3-4 while the Indians are 2-5 on the year.
