Music In the Air at The Real Squeal

The musical stylings of two popular country rock bands will fill the air at the 2021 Real Squeal BBQ and Music Festival this weekend.

Slated to go on stage at 4 p.m. Friday, October 8, in downtown Lyons, the bands will provide the tunes for a street dance that will continue until the fireworks display at 8:45 p.m. concludes the evening’s entertainment.

The 2019 Georgia Country Awards Band of the Year, DILLIGAF Country Band, loves to play old, new, traditional and classic country, and some original arrangements. The band members say of their brand, “We play it all. We just play it our way.”

Also taking the stage will be The Ripleys, who bill themselves as “not your average cover band.”

Speaking of music, the festival is offering a new event that showcases local talent. The Music Showdown will take place on the main stage at Partin Park beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9. Local talent will compete for money, trophies and braggin’ rights. Registration for this event will begin an hour before the competition.
