Dunkin’ Partners With VHS

Vidalia High School was recently the recipient of a large donation as Dunkin’ Donuts of Vidalia presented Vidalia High School Principal John Sharpe and Communications Director John Koon with a check for $10,000. The gift was made during Dunkin’s Grand Opening Celebration, with Franchisees Mike Ferreira and Charles Cutler doing the presentation. The partnership will help the athletic programs at VHS while giving Dunkin’ a presence on the campus through signage and other avenues. The partnership also provides the system with fundraising and discount opportunities throughout the year, and according to Ferreira, “Our company prides itself in partnering with the local community.”

Vidalia High School Athletic Director Tommy Dalley expressed his gratitude for the partnership. “We are super excited to partner with Dunkin'! Mike and his group have really reached out and made an investment in our school system. They have provided us with not only a monetary contribution, but have given us a platform to help us raise even more funds for our athletic department and other programs. We are extremely grateful and thankful to have them come on board with us, and we look forward to watching Dunkin' thrive in Vidalia.” The first Fundraiser for Vidalia will take place on September 30 and will benefit the Vidalia High School Wrestling Team. The VHS wrestlers will be handing out Dunkin’ certificates, which, when presented between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on September 30, will generate a donation to the VHS wrestling team from Dunkin’.

“We are looking forward to a continued partnership with the Vidalia community,” Ferreira added.
