VHA Tennis Wins Region

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles boys tennis team finished first in the GAPPS Region 2 Tournament last Tuesday in Macon, with brothers Will and Jack Puckett winning the boys doubles bracket. The brothers beat the top team from St. John Bosco Academy in the finals to take home the trophy.

Joseph Branch and Jon Summers made it to the second round of the doubles tournament before falling. In boys singles, Caleb Proenza was able to advance in the early round before dropping his match against Ethan Hill of Covington Academy.

The VHA girls team also competed, finishing fourth in the Region. Josey Harrell did well, advancing to the second round of the singles competition before making it to the finals of the consolation round.
