TCHS Volleyball Splits

The Toombs County High School volleyball team took on Dublin on the road last Tuesday and came away with a win, and then were at West Laurens on Thursday where they fell to the larger school.

TCHS vs. Dublin

Toombs had a good first game against the Fighting Irish. They pulled away to a 25-14 win to go up in the match. In the second game the Irish came back and took a close 25-22 win over Toombs.

In the third, and deciding, match the Lady Bulldogs ran away with a win. They allowed Dublin to score only two points as they took an easy 15-2 victory. That gave them a 2-1 overall win over Dublin.

TCHS vs. W. Laurens

In this match the Lady Bulldogs were a bit outgunned as they lost in two straight games. In the first West Laurens got the win, 25-14. In the second game they won 25-18 over Toombs for a 2-0 win. Toombs hosted Wayne County and Tattnall County on Tuesday of this week after presstime and will be back on the court on Thursday at home against Ware County and Appling County with games beginning at 5:00 p.m.
