Lady Crusaders Pull Out 2 Wins

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball teams faced a challenging pair of games late last week, traveling to Statesboro on Thursday to face Bulloch Academy before returning to Lyons on Friday to host Pinewood Christian Academy. The Lady Crusaders secured two hard-fought victories to go 2-0 on the weekend, while the boys dropped both contests despite strong efforts.

The Lady Crusaders opened the action against the Lady Gators in a tight contest that remained close from tip-off to the final buzzer. RTCA managed to execute down the stretch, pulling away late to secure a 57-52 victory.

In the boys' matchup, the Crusaders found themselves playing catch-up early. RTCA trailed 15-12 after the first quarter and went into halftime down 29-24. The Crusaders fought to close the gap in the second half but ultimately fell to the Gators, 61-54.
