A UNITED FRONT — Members of the Wheeler County School Board, staff and faculty gathered on the steps of the new Wheeler County School for a group photo prior to the first day of school. The new school, which opened on Tuesday, September 7, houses all grades under one roof. The $36 million, 167, 264-square-foot school was built with a state grant and proceeds from a special local option sales tax.
