Lady Barons Fall to Warriors

The Brewton-Parker Christian University Lady Barons flag football team traveled to Florida to take on the Webber International University Warriors. Despite their best efforts, the Barons’ offense struggled and was unable to score against the strong Warrior defense, getting shut out 32-0 on February 28.

The Barons’ defense showed a strong presence in the first half of the game, holding the Warriors to just one touchdown in the first half, while the offense was unable to move the ball downfield. The Warriors capitalized in the third quarter off a Baron’s interception and short field to get on the board again, before scoring three times in the fourth to seal the game.

The Barons will look to regroup after a week of practice before taking on Daytona State College on March 13, in Mount Vernon.
