Hometown Market Returns to Lyons on Saturday

This month’s Hometown Market on Broad will unite the community and give patrons a chance to peruse local vendors’ booths on Saturday, August 1.

Community members will have the chance to buy several goods, gifts, and products from local vendors, farmers, and business owners on Saturday, August 1, as the Lyons Main Street Association hosts the Hometown Market on Broad from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the 304 Society Garden, located at 111 N. Washington Street in Lyons.

This event comes as a result of a collaborative effort between Lyons Community Development Director Jessica Barfield McCoy and local business owners Sheila Adams and Laura Toole, who have been trying to create a monthly farmers market within the city. The market is designed to help encourage citizens to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy all of the things that the community has to offer.
