Last Thursday, senior Emma Wright signed with Brewton Parker Christian University to continue her soccer career.
Coach Jeremy Moore said, “Emma has been a 4 year starter for us, but she has also evolved into a leader in our program, and she sets the standard for hard work for the other girls. Emma has played numerous positions for us, and never complains when she is moved around. She makes us better wherever she plays and has excelled in every position she has played throughout high school.”
Emma has enjoyed a very successful high school career. Her freshman year, she was a starting defender on the program’s first ever trip to the GHSA state quarterfinals. Her sophomore and junior years, she played primarily as a striker, where she scored 37 goals over that 2 year span. As a senior, Emma has moved back to defender, where she has still managed to score 5 goals.
For her career, she has scored 43 goals, and has 6 assists. She is currently a captain for her team as they head into another playoff run.
