The ConnectHER Gathering for Women was a night of fellowship and support, as almost 200 women united at the Dahlia Event Center on Thursday, March 19, to shop from local businesses, fellowship with one another, and enjoy a catered meal during the night designed to celebrate, support, and empower one another.

Each year, the Greater Vidalia Chamber hosts the ConnectHER Gathering for Women to provide female professionals and business owners with an event tailored specifically to women, and to help individuals network and support one another. In prior years, the event has featured a keynote address by a guest speaker, who often shared messages of women empowerment and success stories from female entrepreneurs and business professionals; however, this year’s gathering focused solely on creating a fun and inviting atmosphere to allow women in the community to connect with one another.

The atmosphere of the event was lively and inviting, giving women the opportunity to discover unique products, support small businesses, and connect with fellow attendees in a fun, informal setting, and the sense of camaraderie in the room was unmistakable, as women from different backgrounds came together with a shared purpose of uplifting one another and strengthening the local community.

The evening’s program added an extra layer of excitement, featuring an interactive game that brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition, and an ultimate prize of “community bucks,” which are vouchers for various amounts of money that may be spent at businesses who are members of the Chamber.

Overall, the event helped to create lasting connections between women in the community and helped to promote several local businesses in the area. For more information on this event or any of the Greater Vidalia Chamber Signature Events, call (912) 537-4466.
