Busy Week For Treutlen Soccer

It was a busy week on the pitch for the Treutlen County High School Vikings as they hosted a three-game home stand. vs. E. Laurens

On Tuesday against East Laurens, the Lady Vikings secured a 2-0 shutout. Maya Brinson and Ella Roberson each contributed a goal in the victory. In the boys' game, the Falcons spread the ball effectively, with five different players scoring to hand Treutlen a 5-0 loss. vs. Johnson Co.

The girls returned to action on Wednesday, hosting the Lady Trojans of Johnson County. Treutlen controlled the game for a 4-0 win, driven by Camdyn Brantley and Jayden Rogers, who scored two goals apiece. vs. MCHS

Friday's matchups brought the Montgomery County Eagles to town. The Lady Vikings dropped their contest 3-1. The boys' game proved to be a tight defensive battle, with neither team finding the net in regulation or overtime. The game went to a shootout, where the Eagles edged out the Vikings 3-2 to take the win.

The Lady Vikings now stand at 8-4 overall and 4-2 in region play. The boys hold a 2-9 overall record and are 1-4 in the region. Both squads were back on their home field Monday to host Wheeler County in games that concluded after presstime.
